⚠️EDIT: This seems to be a very heated topic, but let’s keep it civil in the comments please! Conversation is healthy but insults and being rude is not!⚠️ Taking a break from some other projects to celebrate the casting of @chloexhalle as Ariel! I’m so excited to see how she transforms the character! I tried to give her a different look as well to fit 💕 Also, sorry but I’m going to have to start adding watermarks to my drawings. I’ve had someone steal them and @instagram is doing nothing to help so that’s fun. . . . #thelittlemermaid #littlemermaid #ariel #mermaid #disney #disneyfanart #hallebailey #thelittlemermaidfanart #fanart #art #artistsoninstagram #procreate #digitalart

Hi ! I’m back !!! These 5 days at Disneyland Paris was wonderful ! First time for my children and seeing stars in their eyes was amazing ! ✨ During this trip, I saw that @chloexhalle will be Ariel in the live action ! So I wanted to draw her, adding a little animation : a human will become a mermaid 😍 ✨ I saw a lot of comments about this casting, I can understand those who are attached to the Ariel’s drawing in the animation, but she will be always here, and I think that revisiting these tales in another way is a very good thing ! And Halle seems to be as sweet as the cartoon character ✨ Can’t wait to see this movie ! ✨ Have a nice day ! 😘 . . . #mermaid #mondaymerms #mermaidmonday #illustrator #illustration #illustratoroninstagram #illustrationjeunesse #artistoninstagram #artstagram #disney #disneyprincess #disneyfanart #hallebailey #thelittlemermaid #lapetitesirene #arielfanart #ariel #princess #girlsinanimation #animated #cartooncharacter #cartooncharacter #thelittlemermaidliveaction #instadisney #draw #drawingoftheday #instaillustration #characterdesign #digitalart #disneyworld

🌟Bright young women •• 🍂 So! We finally got our Ariel! And here are all of my thoughts! As you may know, Ariel was my favorite princess and is currently a close second to Rapunzel. The little mermaid has always been special to me, especially since it was the first Disney movie (maybe first movie) I ever saw. Of course, I wanted it to be as close to the original as possible. When I saw who they cast, I’ll admit, I was a bit disappointed and honestly confused. They stayed so true to the originals with the others, why not Ariel? Especially considering she’s one of the most popular princesses. After looking into who she was for a bit, I’m honestly in love with the casting. While she doesn’t look exactly like the animated version, I’ve already started to get used to her. She’s slowly becoming Ariel in my mind! I’ve heard her sing and seen her in interviews and she seems so sweet and kind! Also art (especially this piece) helped me see her in Ariel’s fins more. I know she’ll do great. But let’s be true here. We all want new Disney content. All of us are SO tired with the remakes. I need new content Disney! At least Pixar is sufficing. Wanna know what I want even more? More characters of color! Every little kid should be able to watch a movie and see themselves in the character. I’ve never had this problem, being a pasty 96% British girl and all, but I know that it is pretty hard to find relatable characters of color for others. While Disney is getting better about this, they still have SO MANY white characters! I’m tired of seeing all these crackers! Any way, I am so excited to see Halle as Ariel. Try to keep the comments positive, and I will be replying to anyone who disagrees with the casting. •• 🎨 @alicexz •• #disney#disneychannel #disneymovie #disneyprincess #ariel#thelittlemermaid#hallebailey#remake#liveaction
