Com texto poderoso e emocionante, Justice Smith assume namoro com ator

Justice Smith, protagonista no filme “Por Lugares Incríveis”, tem usado suas redes sociais para se pronunciar após a morte de George Floyd. O ator já fez diversas publicações em apoio à Black Lives Matter, além de estar presente em muitos protestos.

Mas, além de compartilhar informações relevantes sobre a causa e mensagens de força para sua comunidade, Justice resolveu falar sobre outro assunto super importante: ele é queer!

Em uma publicação poderosa e emocionante, o boy se abriu sobre o assunto, além de assumir o namoro com o ator Nicholas Ashe com uma série de fotos fofas! Olha só:

@nckash and I protested today in New Orleans. We chanted ‘Black Trans Lives Matter’ ‘Black Queer Lives Matter’ ‘All Black Lives Matter’. As a black queer man myself, I was disappointed to see certain people eager to say Black Lives Matter, but hold their tongue when Trans/Queer was added. I want to reiterate this sentiment: if your revolution does not include Black Queer voices, it is anti-black. If your revolution is okay with letting black trans people like #TonyMcDade slip through the cracks in order to solely liberate black cishet men, it is anti-black. You are trying to push yourself through the door of a system designed against you, and then shut the door behind you. It is in our conditioning to get as close to whiteness, straightness, maleness as we can because that’s where the power is. And if we appeal to it, maybe it’ll give us a slice. But the revolution is not about appeal. It is about demanding what should have been given to us from the beginning. What should have been given to black, queer, and trans individuals from the beginning. Which is the right to exist. To live and prosper in public. Without fear of persecution or threat of violence. No texto, Justice conta que esteve no protesto em New Orleans junto com Nicholas e que, além de falar Black Lives Matter, ele também dizia Black Trans Lives Matter e Black Queer Lives Matter, mas percebeu que nem todos faziam o mesmo:

“Como homem negro queer, fiquei desapontado ao ver certas pessoas ansiosas por dizer que ‘vidas pretas importam’, mas segurando a língua quando Trans / Queer foi adicionado. Se a sua revolução não inclui as vozes do Black Queer, é anti-negra.”

O boy também explicou que faz parte da nossa cultura tentar chegar o mais próximo da heterossexualidade, masculinidade e brancura – já que é assim que conseguimos poder…

“Você está tentando passar pela porta de um sistema projetado contra você e depois fechar a porta atrás de você. E se apelarmos para isso, talvez isso nos dê uma fatia. Mas a revolução não tem a ver com apelo. Trata-se de exigir o que deveria ter sido dado a nós desde o início”

Justice finaliza dizendo que a ideia de compartilhar as imagens com seu namorado, foi para aliviar a quantidade de tragédias que temos visto nos últimos dias. Fofo, né?
