Ninguém mais pode duvidar no poder de Billie Eilish! A cantora foi consagrada no Grammy 2020, maior prêmio da música norte-americana, ao levar cinco gramofones para casa. Esse foi o primeiro ano em que a girl concorreu na premiação, e conseguiu fazer história com apenas 18 anos.
Billie venceu Álbum do Ano por “When We All Fall Asleep, Where do We Go?“, Gravação do Ano, Canção do Ano por “Bad Guy“, Artista Revelação e Melhor Álbum Vocal de Pop, sendo as quatro primeiras categorias do escalão principal. Rainha!
Com essa conquista, a artista se torna a primeira mulher da história a vencer, no mesmo ano, os principais prêmios do Grammy. Além disso, é a pessoa mais jovem a conseguir tal feito. Lembrando que o álbum foi feito por ela e o irmão, Finneas. Ou seja, só sucesso!
Antes de Billie brilhar na premiação, Lizzo era a grande aposta da noite com oito indicações. Mas ela conseguiu somente três gramofones: Melhor Performance Pop Solo por “Truth Hurts“, Melhor Performance Tradicional de R&B por “Jerome” e Melhor Álbum de Música Urbana pela versão deluxe de “Cuz I Love You“.
Já Lil Nas X, outra grande promessa com seis indicações, venceu em Melhor Performance Pop em Dupla com o remix viral “Old Town Road” e Melhor Videoclipe pela sua parceria com Billy Ray Cyrus.
Curiosamente, os três artistas mais indicados do Grammy 2020 eram iniciantes na premiação. Eles também foram indicados na categoria Artista Revelação, mas foi Billie quem a conquistou.
A voz de “Bad Guy” também arrasou no palco com uma linda apresentação de “When the Party is Over” junto ao seu irmão, que ficou responsável pelo piano e backing vocals. Além dela, artistas como Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Rosalía, H.E.R. e Jonas Brothers mostraram todo seu talento em frente ao microfone.
